Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced economic stimulus package for the vulnerable and indigent in the state aimed at cushioning the effects of various stringent measures to curb the spread of the disease in Lagos, considered as epi-centre. Meantime, Sanwo-Olu has signed Emergency Coronavirus Pandemic Bill 2020 into law. The state House of Assembly had on Thursday, passed the Coronavirus Bill 2020 for Governor's assent. Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido says he has gone into self-isolation. He explained that he took the decision after his fiancée, Chioma, tested positive to coronavirus (COVID-19). The music star announced this on Friday via his verified Twitter handle. BREAKING: 14 New Cases Of COVID-19 Confirmed In Nigeria

Fourteen new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed in Nigeria, bringing the total number of cases to 65. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this in a tweet on Thursday night. A breakdown of the number of the additional cases showed that 12 new cases were discovered in Lagos while the remaining two were confirmed in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Six of the cases were detected on a vessel and three others were returning travellers into the country while the remaining case was a close contact of a confirmed case.

BREAKING: Close friend to Bauchi Governor Tests Positive For COVID-19

The Bauchi State government has confirmed the second case of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state. The Commissioner for Health in the state, Dr Aliyu Maigoro, announced this during a press briefing on Thursday in Bauchi. According to him, the second case is a 62-year-old male and a close friend of the state governor, Bala Mohammed. Six patients recover from COVID-19 in Lagos, to be discharged soon

The Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Health, Dr Tunde Ajayi, on Thursday via his twitter handle disclosed that six of the patients at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba have recovered and will be discharged soon. This means that an additional six patients from the 30 active cases of coronavirus will soon be discharged as they have recovered from the virus.
